QX10 and QX100 Camera Attachment Cases Will Be Available for Xperia Z1 Compact
Sony has recently introduced attachment case for its mini smartphone model; the Xperia Z1f. Users could attach lens-style cameras to the phone, the QX10 or QX100. The Xperia Z1f is similar to the Xperia Z1 Compact, but available exclusively only for users in Japan. Having the same design and physical dimension, we could expect the new camera attachments will support the Z1 Compact as well.
In essence, users could turn their smaller Z1 devices into more advanced camera with the new attachments. The QX10 includes 10x optical zoom feature and it costs $248. The QX100 is built around a 20.2Mp Exmor R sensor with 3.6x optical zoom, Carl Zeiss f/1.8 lens and some DSLR-like features. It will be available for a whopping $498; which is more as expensive as an upper mid-tier smartphone. The Xperia Z1 Compact itself may cost approximately $500 off-contract and it will be released early next month.
Numerous reviews have said that Sony has really nailed with its new compact smartphone models. In fact, both Z1f and Z1 Compact are probably the finest mini smartphone available until now. Underneath, these devices are as capable as the full-sized, critically acclaimed Xperia Z1.
