Motorola Could Launch the Low-Cost DVX As the Moto G
We heard reports that Motorola has applied for the Moto G trademark earlier this week, which led to speculation that we would see a Motorola Moto X Google Edition. Other rumors say that the device is heading to Verizon. According to sources close to the company, the Moto G is actually the commercial brand for the low-cost Motorola DVX.
It is an affordable smartphone with swappable colored backs with physical design that’s similar to the original Moto X. Focused on emerging markets; we could expect to see a global launch of the device. Motorola could plan a release in Brazil, since the device is spotted in the Brazilian Agency of Telecommunications as Motorola XT1032 / XT1033.
It will be equipped with the X8 Computer System and 4.5-inch touchscreen LCD display on the front. Supporting the dual-SIM configuration, budget-conscious users would be glad to know that it shouldn’t be priced above $250 off contract.
There’s also a possibility that Motorola will soon reduce the price of Moto X and push the phone to the mid-tier category, while a yet-unnamed device will arrive to the top-tier position. This would place the Moto G conveniently in the entry-level category.
